ty shock, really would like to ty for all that u do bud. Its alot too. so i personally ty. also i ran a 13.853 at 7 flags. I also thought maybe that my Nascar heat playstation would help me on sets but its totally diff. which sucks, but ill take a good finish behind u anyway in snh/lol. l8ter

Hey Guys,
I totally agree that we need to get the show moving faster, I race with Iggr also, and their races go very smoothly and quickly. Just a suggestion, lock the heat lineups 2 or 3 minutes after the scheduled time to be in the chat. This would make things go much smoother, I think. For example, if the pole sitter is 4 min. late, and the lineups were locked 3 min. after the scheduled tme, he would have to start at the rear of a heat. I also think we should check into renting out EVR severs for our races, as this would make the races much smoother. All Shock would have to do is send in a server application, currently their is no league showing using the EVR servers from 11:30 A.M EST. until 1:00 p.m est., so their is probaoly a good chance that we good get a server or two. If we got these servers we wouldn't have nearly as much trouble with warp and lag, which would make everyone happy!!!!!

wg, good idea, but I looked into that about 3 or 4 months ago on their old site and I thought that it said, "We are no longer taking applications"...So I don't know if that would work...I can try to find out though, but I doubt that would be able to happen, here is what it says on their old site:

* NOTE * Starting in March we will be re-vamping the server schedule. You will need to re-apply for the server space at the end of each "EVRacing Season." This is mostly due to the abuse of racers utilizing our private servers when they are not on our schedule. Also there have been a few leagues that have opt'd to change the weekday that their league events occur. This has caused some confusion when they discover later on (usually after creating a new season, logos, webpage, etc... that another Team/League has their desired time slot. Please have your server application in before the end of each EVRacing Season. EVRacing Seasons are as follows:

Yeah wg. Razz said that he was working on a new server about 2 weeks ago, and he said that it should be done in about a month, so that would probably help out too. Let's go with what we got for now though and we can get better ones soon. VLR_Shock

Hey Y'all, just thought I would chime in on Matts comments. As I hosted the Pro Stock series at IGGR last season. Main thing we do there, is tell everyone to be in chat 15 minutes early, but come 8:30 race time I would give 5 minutes, when I would say BRB doing line ups, if you come in after that you would tag the end of a heat, no matter where you qualified. That makes it easy on the guy making the line ups, to just throw his name at the tail of one. And we would be done with heats, back to chat and Mains in 35-45 minutes.

Here is a few things that may help the host that I did. On a piece of notebook paper I would write down all that qualified, as they came in chat, put a check by their name, all people that comes in that didnt qualify, add them to the bottom of the list. Once you lock it. Take fastest qualifyer in chat he starts pole heat 1, 2nd faster qualifyer on pole 2nd heat, 3 rd fastest qualifyer in chat pole 3rd heat, depending on how many people and how many heats, and alternate all the way down to the non qualifyers. and they go into heats as they enter chat. This makes it fair for all, no one is getting stuck in heats thats fast, or getting into a heat that may be slower, it is done by how they come in.

Easiest way for me is open notepad, go ahead and type up top in it, (EX: Heats-- 1 3 Lap Hot, 15 Lap Heat Wetness 33% Set Grid to Rank as Posted)

Then below that in notepad put (EX: Heat 1---IP 67.64.*.***----) And have that ready for when you do line ups, then just add another heat and so on. Then once you get line ups add names behind ---- in order. Keep that open, and once line ups are done, use that to copy and paste the info into chat, keeps you from having to type it all out, makes it fast just copy and paste it, then quickly you will have the second heat pasted in chat. Do one heat at a time. Also not sure as what chat service you use but most wont let you right click and paste you have to bring up cursor as if you were going to type into room and use ctrl+V to paste something.

Not positive on the EVR servers, I know no one is using them that time of day, but they have their rules and cant say if it would be a problem or not. Best thing to do is email Jamie at Shadow32@evracing.net Also another option is talk with Flash24 at www.dirtwizard.net about using thier servers for your races. And I have to tell you, they are awesome. They have the best servers out there.
